The workshop intends to provide a basic knowledge on the relationship between silent cinema and sound production. First, a historical-theoretical introduction will be provided, then a more practical section will follow, focusing on real case exemplification and discussing various aethetic strategies. The workshop will include a practical experimentation on sound design for silent film.
